Step through the front door and you will see how the house was decorated by its then owners, the Nettlefolds, more than 100 years ago, walk a bit further into the study and drawing room and see the amazing collection of beautiful furniture and antiques. Winterbourne House played an important part in the community and this fact is highlighted in the Exhibition Room with interactive exhibits. Winterbourne House and Garden in Edgbaston, Birmingham is a Grade II listed botanical garden, located on seven acres of year round colorful splendour. There are a myriad of plants on display which have been gathered from places like China, North and South America as well as the alpine areas of the world. Winterbourne House and Garden has a programme of public garden events that take place throughout the year, such as special interest tours, local heritage days and music concerts. The house and garden was bequeathed to the University of Birmingham in 1944, and to this day is still used by students, as well as being open to the public for their enjoyment.
