Perranporth

Originally renowned as a mining and fishing village, Perranporth is now better known throughout the world for it's three mile, golden sandy beach, one of the South-West's top surfing resorts and family holiday destinations. Less commercialised and more family orientated than nearby Newquay, Perranporth is a welcoming village with dozens of shops, bars and restaurants and there are numerous activities available nearby - golf, tennis, horse-riding, adventure-sports, surfing lessons and wetsuit/surfboard hire, gliding, bowls, a boating lake, parks, coastal and inland footpaths, birdwatching at Nansmellyn Marsh, fishing (sea and coarse), Quad-bike racing, Cycle-hire - in fact, you name it and it's probably available in the vicinity. The biggest attraction is the beach of course.

Patrolled by top lifeguards during the Summer season the beach is second to none offering three miles of sands at low tide and the perfect spot for a family holiday. Acres of space to relax, for the more energetic to enjoy the watersports available or for the kids to simply make sandcastles and explore the rockpools. If this isn't enough, there are a host of visitor attractions within a reasonable drive.
