Laugharne

Laugharne is tucked into a the mountainside that leads to the sea, and lies on the estuary of the River Taf in Carmarthenshire, Wales the accent is a mix of Devon with Carmarthenshire Welsh. There are many architectural and historical attractions here like the Georgian townhouses and vernacular cottages, and the 12th century Laugharne Castlec and Great House which are both Grade 11 listed buildings. The famous Welsh Poet Dylan Thomas lived in Laugharne from 1949 till his death in 1953 and in Spring each year the town hosts the Laugharne Weekend and three day arts festival.
