The Municipality of Callander (formerly the Township of North Himsworth) is a township in central Ontario, Canada located at the southeast end of Lake Nipissing in the District of Parry Sound. The municipality was named for the main community of Callander, is located on Callander Bay and is a southern suburb of North Bay.
There are many activities one can enjoy in this small town. With two main beaches, you can enjoy boating, swimming, fishing and children can enjoy the playground recently built at the beach on the north side of Main street. There are also two tennis courts behind the Community Centre, which also offers a rink for ice skating in the winter. Also, if you enjoy biking and/or rollerblading, there is the Kate Pace Way which is a paved trail from Callander to North Bay, allowing a peaceful ride among all the wildlife.
