The City of Presque Isle is home to approximately 9,511 residents located in the central portion of Aroostook County in northern Maine. Presque Isle is governed by a seven-member City Council elected at large from within the 75.2 square miles of the community. The City is managed by an appointed City Manager.
The City is home to two colleges: the University of Maine at Presque Isle and the Northern Maine Community College.
