Webster is a community that places such high value on its pristine environment that the town purchased 1,023 acres of land which will be used for hiking trails and other recreational activities for current and future generations. Webster also offers numerous parks throughout the town and village, including Monroe County's Webster Park with its breathtaking views of Lake Ontario. Also unique to the region is the Webster Arboretum in Kent Park, which has an incredible variety of plants, flowers, shrubs and trees.
Over 350,000 people a year visit the Webster Public Library. The Library features a children's room with a one-of-a-kind environment in a park-like setting. There is also an expanded periodicals section, with new magazines constantly being added to the collection. Webster’s library is so unique that officials from other libraries in Monroe County have used the Webster Library as a model when building new libraries in their respective communities.
The Town's Parks and Recreation Department offers numerous programs throughout the year where residents of all ages take part in a variety of activities. The Parks and Recreation Department is located at the Ridgecrest Community Center on Ebner Drive off Ridge Road.
