The old town was completed in the 13th century and remains virtually unchanged to the present day. Tall ramparts surround it and there are only two entrances to the old town which lead to the Stradun, the city's promenade. One of the greatest pleasures for many visitors is to have a drink in one of the nearby cafes and watch the world go by, whilst they themselves are being watched by the city patron, St. Blaise, or Sveti Vlaho as the locals call him. In 1991/2, the Serbs shelled the city causing considerable damage, but thanks to local effort and international aid, the old town has been restored to its former beauty.

Makarska is a small town on the Adriatic coastline of Croatia, about 60 km southeast of Split and 140 km northwest of Dubrovnik. Administratively Makarska has the status of a town and it is part of the Split-Dalmatia county.

Split is the economic and administrative center of Middle Dalmatia, with about 200,000 inhabitants. One of the best stops on the Dalmatian coast.Trogir is not as well known as Dubrovnik or Split but rivals these cities in beauty.

Korcula, is an island in the Adriatic Sea, in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county of Croatia. The island has an area of 279 km2 - it is 46.8 km long and on average 7.8 km wide - and lies just off the Dalmatian coast.

Jelsa is a municipality in on the island of Hvar, Croatia. It is located in the Split-Dalmatia county. It has a population of 3,656 (2001 census), 96% which are Croats. Jelsa is surrounded by pine forests and hills in which hotels and resorts are evenly placed.

Ciovo is a small island located off the Adriatic coast in Croatia with an area of 28.8 km² (length 15.3 km, width up to 3.5 km), population of 6,071 inhabitants (2001) and its highest peak is 218 m (Rudine).

Vela Luka is a small town and a municipality in Dubrovnik-Neretva County in southern Dalmatia, Croatia. The town is located on the western side of the island of Kor?ula at the bottom of a wide bay which has many indented coves.
