A few kilometres south-east of Bredasdorp, on the Overberg Coast lies the pretty fishing and holiday village of Arniston or Waenhuiskrans. Two centuries old, Arniston is named after one of the many ships which got wrecked along this stretch of South African coastline, having become victims of 'The Cape of Storms'.

Cape Point is a promontory at the south-east corner of the Cape Peninsula, which is a mountainous and very scenic landform that runs north-south for about thirty kilometres at the extreme southwestern tip of the African continent in the Republic of South Africa. Table Mountain and the city of Cape Town are close to the northern extremity of the same peninsula.

Gordon's Bay is a small, picturesque seaside town at the eastern end of False Bay. Expensive mansions and luxury apartment houses nestle high up on the slope. The beachfront promenade is lined with popular fish restaurants, pubs and coffeeshops and in the old harbour, one can book boat trips or deep sea fishing trips in the False Bay.

Hermanus is built along the shores of Walker Bay near the Southern most tip of Africa. Magnificent mountains watch over the town which is home of the Southern Right Whale. A delightful fishing village on the False Bay coast with a protected little harbour full of brightly painted wooden boats. Go at around 1pm to watch the fishermen offload their catch and you can buy your supper straight from the boat. The narrow main street is renowned for antique and art shops which make fascinating browsing and the well known Brass Bell restaurant and bar is as close as you can get to the breakers without going for a swim. Boyes Drive takes you up onto the hillside for wonderful views of the harbour and in these hills lurk deep caverns and caves with a labyrinth of passages and chambers that are said to be haunted.

Kayamandi - Pleasant Home in Xhoza is a black township where a large number of the citizens are unemployed and the majority is quite poor. However the people of Kayamandi are proud of their traditions, and visitors can be assured of a warm Xhosa welcome.

Kleinmond has grown from a holiday destination to little town. Many retired people have settled in this coastal town situated on a narrow strip between the sea and fynbos covered mountains. Kleinmond thrives during the holiday season and has a great beach and lagoon for the kids and lovely golf course for the Dads. The beach is not regarded as safe for swimming but is great for surf angling. The nearby Palmiet River offers swimming and kloofing. The town is situated less than an hours drive from Cape Town.

L'Agulhas is the southernmost town in Africa. Being located at the very tip of the legendary foot of Africa, it is a prime tourist destination. The koppie behind the lighthouse offers a panoramic view of the point where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet, and of ships passing by.

Manenberg is a suburb of Cape Town South Africa that was created by the apartheid government for low income colored families in the Cape Flats. The area consists of rows of semi-detached houses and project like flats and was established by the municipal council between 1966 and 1970.

Pringle Bay is a quiet coastal village in the heart of a UNESCO World Nature Reserve. On route to the world famous Whale-watching town of Hermanus, Pringle Bay is an ideal place to view whales during the Whale Season from June to December every year.

Scarborough is a small village out on the Cape Peninsula. Go to Kommetjie and keep going south. In the village turn down towards the beach - there is only one road and a parking at the end.
