Almost as far north as one can go here in Maine, Presque Isle lies in wait. One of the prime ports of call for the wild game hunter or Maine woods nature seeker, Presque Isle provides the big town conveniences and comfort at the very brink of utter wilderness.

Aberdeen is Scotland's third most populous city and one of Scotland's 32 local government council areas. It has an official population estimate of 202,370. Nicknames include the Granite City and the Silver City with the Golden Sands.

Nairn has been a spa holiday town for well over a hundred years with beautiful beaches and even its own "micro-climate", said to be even sunnier and warmer than places just a few miles away, such as Inverness; visit Nairn's harbour and view its yachts or take a boat trip offshore to see the only place in Scotland with a resident dolphin population.

It surprises many visitors to find how much there is to do in St. Andrews that doesn't necessarily involve golf. History and culture jump immediately to mind; but even for children, who may be less interested in these intellectual pursuits, the town and surrounding area provide many activities.

Forres, is a town and former royal burgh situated in the north of Scotland on the Moray coast, approximately 30 miles east of Inverness. Forres has been a winner of the Scotland in Bloom award on several occasions. There are many geographical and historical attractions nearby such as the River Findhorn, and there are many historical artifacts and monuments within the town itself.

Stonehaven is a town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It lies on Scotland's northeast coast. Stonehave, county town of Kincardineshire, grew around an Iron Age fishing village, now the "Auld Toon" ("old town"), and expanded inland from the Seaside.

Banff and Macduff are neighbouring towns situated on Banff Bay, both of which are former burghs in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Until 1975 Banff was the county town of Banffshire.

Peterhead is a town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is Aberdeenshire's largest settlement. Peterhead sits at the easternmost point in mainland Scotland. Peterhead is often referred to as 'The Blue Toon' and people who were born there as Blue Tooners.

Aberdeen City, home to a population of 212,125, is a thriving cosmopolitan port in the North-east of Scotland.

Ballater lies on the River Dee east of Scotlands Cairngorm Mountains. Popular with hikers, Ballater has also been known for the healing powers of its spring water.

Although Carnoustie is well known for its famous golf course, Angus and Tayside is a beautiful region with many equally well known attractions, it is an ideal location centrally located and perfect for a Scottish holiday. Glamis Castle is just 10 miles away and is most famous for being the childhood home of both the Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother.

Crail is built around a harbour, and has a particular wealth of vernacular buildings from the 17th to early 19th centuries, many restored by the National Trust for Scotland. The Crail Golfing Society is the seventh oldest in the world. Their oldest course, Balcomie, was formally laid out by Tom Morris Sr. in 1894, but competitions had been played there since the 1850s.

The historic town of Cullen lies in the east of Moray and is central to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Peterhead lies to the east and Aberdeen to the south. Cullen offers spectacular views across the Moray, Firth with a wonderful expanse of beach and visiting seals and dolphins.

Keith is a small town in the northeast of Scotland. The oldest part of Keith dates to around 1180.

The Isle of May, situated in the mouth of the Firth of Forth, is only one and a half kilometres long, yet is a haven for thousands of nesting sea birds and breeding seals who flourish on the steep sea cliffs and rocky shores. It has been a National Nature Reserve since 1965.

Ellon is a sizeable town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, approximately 16 miles (26 km) north of Aberdeen, lying on the River Ythan which has one of the few undeveloped river estuaries on the Eastern coast of Scotland.

Gardenstown is a small village near Banff in Aberdeenshire, Northeast Scotland. It is known locally as 'Gamrie', from the name of the parish in which it stands.  

Inverurie is a Royal Burgh in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, approximately 16 miles (26 km) north west of Aberdeen on the A96 road and is served by Inverurie railway station on the Aberdeen to Inverness Line.

New Deer lies in the valley of Deer in Aberdeenshire, North East Scotland, and was originally founded after monks from Deer Abbey, Old Deer built a chapel at Auchreddie (which translates as "field of the bog myrtle").

Whitehills is a small fishing village in Aberdeenshire, Scotland that lies a few miles northwest of Banff.
