Heligoland U.S. English usually Helgoland, German: Helgoland, is a small German archipelago in the North Sea.Formerly Danish and British possessions, the islands (population 1,650) are located in the Heligoland Bight (part of the German Bight) in the southeastern corner of the North Sea.

Juist is one of the seven inhabited East Frisian Islands at the edge of the Lower Saxon Wadden Sea in the southern North Sea, located between Borkum Island (west), Memmert Island (southwest) and Norderney (east). It is also a municipality in the district of Aurich in Lower Saxony in Germany.

Wangerooge is one of the 32 Frisian Islands in the North Sea that are located close to the coasts of the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. It is also a municipality in the district of Friesland in Lower Saxony in Germany.

Greetsiel is a small port on the river Leybucht in western East Frisia, Germany. Greetsiel was first mentioned in letters from the year 1388. Since 1972, Greetsiel forms part of the municipality of Krummhoern, with its administrative seat in Pewsum. The nearest railway station is at Emden, about 15-20 kilometers away, and the two towns are linked by a bus service.
