The holiday resort of Fuschl am See is located between the festival city of Salzburg (20km) and the spa resort of Bad Ischl (30km) in the beautiful Salzkammergut. It can easily be reached by car and public transport services.

Salzburg is the fourth-largest city in Austria and the capital of the federal state of Salzburg. Salzburg's "Old Town" with its world famous baroque architecture is one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps, and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Zell am See is the capital of the Zell am See district in the Austrian state of Salzburg. It is the second largest city in the Pinzgau with about 10,000 inhabitants. Zell am See is a tourist destination and a transportation hub for the region.  

Grundlsee is a municipality in the Liezen district, which counted 1294 inhabitants during the last census (2001). It is located on Lake Grundlsee.

St. Wolfgang is a market town in the Salzkammergut region of Upper Austria, named after Saint Wolfgang of Regensburg. Lake Toplitz (German: Toplitzsee) is a lake situated in a dense mountain forest high up in the Austrian Alps, 98 km (60 miles) from Salzburg in western Austria. It is surrounded by cliffs and forests in the picturesque Salzkammergut lake district within the Totes Gebirge, or dead mountains. After a depth of 20m, the Toplitzsee water contains no oxygen. Fish can survive only in the top 18m, as the water below 20m is salty. Bacteria and worms have been found that can live without oxygen.

Linz is the third largest city of Austria and capital of the state of Upper Austria. It is located in the north centre of Austria, approximately 30 km south of the Czech border, on both sides of the river Danube.
