Aberdeen is Scotland's third most populous city and one of Scotland's 32 local government council areas. It has an official population estimate of 202,370. Nicknames include the Granite City and the Silver City with the Golden Sands.

Loch Ness is undeniably one of the most famous lakes in the world. It is also, certainly, a place of outstanding natural beauty, but it has to be admitted that the world wide fame of Loch Ness owes more to the legend of its famous occupant, the Loch Ness Monster - or 'Nessie' - than the breathtaking location of the loch itself.

Beauly, is a town of the Scottish county of Highland, on the River Beauly, 10 miles west of Inverness by the Far North railway line. Its population was measured as 855 in 1901. The town is now within the Highland council area.

Forres, is a town and former royal burgh situated in the north of Scotland on the Moray coast, approximately 30 miles east of Inverness. Banff and Macduff are neighbouring towns situated on Banff Bay, both of which are former burghs in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Until 1975 Banff was the county town of Banffshire.

Glamis Castle is just 10 miles away and is most famous for being the childhood home of both the Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother.

Crail is built around a harbour, and has a particular wealth of vernacular buildings from the 17th to early 19th centuries, many restored by the National Trust for Scotland. The Crail Golfing Society is the seventh oldest in the world. Their oldest course, Balcomie, was formally laid out by Tom Morris Sr. in 1894, but competitions had been played there since the 1850s.

The historic town of Cullen lies in the east of Moray and is central to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Peterhead lies to the east and Aberdeen to the south. Cullen offers spectacular views across the Moray, Firth with a wonderful expanse of beach and visiting seals and dolphins.

Fort William is a fantastic place to enjoy your holiday - steeped in history, stunning scenery and loads of fun things to do. The area offers substantial outdoor pursuits such as horse riding, golf, fishing, mountaineering, watersports, canoeing, hillwalking, mountain biking and ski-ing in the winter months at Nevis Range Ski Centre or nearby Glencoe. Keith is a small town in the northeast of Scotland. The oldest part of Keith dates to around 1180.

Balquhidder Glen has it's origins lost in the mists of time, but Balquhidder has been important, probably since neolithic times. Below the Manse there are remains of a stone circle, the Pudreag Stone , and there is a Neolithic chambered cairn near further east. Nigg Bay is an extensive area of mudflat, saltmarsh and wet grassland on the Cromarty Firth. A small sandy beach of Abereen City Council area. Nigg Bay lies between the headlands of Girdle Ness and Greg Ness.

Strathpeffer is situated in the heart of the Highlands, to the west of The Cromarty Firth and the Black Isle. Perfect for taking advantage of the East Coast amenities and the wild scenery of Wester Ross. Local amenities include Strathpeffer's own 18 hole golf course, said by many to be one of the most picturesque in Britain. Trips are available to secluded hill lochs, teeming with wild brown trout. Local estates offer game shooting and deer stalking and the local wild fowling is of the highest standard. For walkers, there are any number of routes of varying difficulty, to allow all to see the magnificence of the Highlands.

Kinlochleven is a village in Lochaber, Highland, Scotland and lies at the eastern end of Loch Leven, a sea loch cutting into the western Scottish Highlands. To the north lies the Mamores ridge; to the south lie the mountains flanking Glen Coe.

Ellon is a sizeable town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, approximately 16 miles (26 km) north of Aberdeen, lying on the River Ythan which has one of the few undeveloped river estuaries on the Eastern coast of Scotland.

Inverurie is a Royal Burgh in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, approximately 16 miles (26 km) north west of Aberdeen on the A96 road and is served by Inverurie railway station on the Aberdeen to Inverness Line.

New Deer lies in the valley of Deer in Aberdeenshire, North East Scotland, and was originally founded after monks from Deer Abbey, Old Deer built a chapel at Auchreddie (which translates as "field of the bog myrtle").

Whitehills is a small fishing village in Aberdeenshire, Scotland that lies a few miles northwest of Banff.
