Lake Macquarie is one of the largest coastal saltwater lakes in the Southern Hemisphere, and, as you can see, it is immense in size. Stretching almost 25 kilometres from north to south, there is 175km of lake foreshore. It is 3.2 kilometres at its widest point and offers a variety of activities both on and off the water. This camera, positioned on the roof of the Belmont 16ft Sailing Club, offers a view of Belmont Bay to Marks Point, with the Wallarah Peninsula as the backdrop to the city.
