The Narrows Info, North Island

Ninety Mile Beach is situated in the region of Gippsland on Victoria's south eastern coast. Loch Sport, Golden Beach, Seaspray and Woodside are spread evenly along this pristine beach of continuous golden sand. Wonderful surf fishing. Whales and dolphins regularly play close to shore and there is boat access to the Gippsland Lakes at Seacombe and Loch Sport.Ninety Mile Beach is a beach located on the western coast of the far north of New Zealand's North Island of New Zealand. It stretches from just west of Kaitaia towards Cape Reinga along the Aupouri Peninsula. The name Ninety Mile Beach is a misnomer because it is actually 88 km (55 miles) long!

Dargaville, Gateway to the Kauri Forest, two and a half hours drive north west of Auckland, is a unique town of approximately 4,800 people and nestles amongst the hills radiating northwards from the Northern Wairoa River.

Kerikeri is a unique cosmopolitan town situated in the hub of the Bay of Islands with a wealth of rich history including the oldest stone and timber buildings in New Zealand, historic Maori settlement, famous Kauri trees and boardwalk, Rainbow Falls, boat marina at Opito Bay and Steam Boat rides from the historic Stone Store Basin down the Kerikeri Inlet, a bustling shopping centre that services the smaller towns of Paihia and Russell, award winning wineries, cheese factory, chocolate boutique, recognised artisans of crafts and potteries and a diverse selection of succulent subtropical fruits.

Mangonui is the ideal location to base your Northland holiday. Day trip to Cape Reinga, Ninety Mile Beach, Bay of Islands, the Kauri Forest or just relax at the safe Doubtless Bay beaches. You don't have to own a boat to go fishing, the Mangonui Wharf is great spot to drop a line. However, if you want to get further out on the water there are a great variety of boat or yacht charters for a great days fishing. Walk through picturesque Mangonui with its historic buildings, craft shops, cafes & restaurant. We are located on the historic walking trail.

Paihia is a small seaside town about 240km north of Auckland. It is located on a sheltered inlet in the heart of the Bay of Islands, sheltered from the Pacific Ocean by the Russell peninsula.

Parua Bay is a locality and bay on the northern side of the Whangarei Harbour in Northland, New Zealand. Whangarei is 19 km to the west, and Whangarei Heads are 10 km to the south east, with Munro Bay between the two.

Few visitors depart the Bay of Islands and Russell in particular without a lasting impression of the place, and the people. The regions temperate marine climate is near perfect.
