A few kilometres south-east of Bredasdorp, on the Overberg Coast lies the pretty fishing and holiday village of Arniston or Waenhuiskrans. Two centuries old, Arniston is named after one of the many ships which got wrecked along this stretch of South African coastline, having become victims of 'The Cape of Storms'.

The small town of Barrydale - established in 1880 retains its timeless country charm and supports a diverse, yet harmonious community. Barrydale is the perfect destination, or stopover, for visitors wishing to unwind and relax far removed from the stresses and strains of city life.

Heidelberg lies on the banks of the Duivenhoks River and offers great natural beauty and real country hospitality.

Known as 'the jewel of the Klein Karoo', Ladismith is located at the foot of the Klein Swartberg mountain range in the Klein Karoo. It's connected by tarred roads to all the major cities, including Cape Town, Oudtshoorn, George, Mossel Bay and Port Elizabeth.

Montagu is the western gateway to the Little Karoo as well as the scenic heart of Route 62, the historic link between Cape Town, the Garden Route and Eastern Cape. There are a number of hiking trails in the area as well as opportunities for rock climbers. The hot springs just outside of town are very popular. Horse riding, golf, tennis, bowls and other sports can also be exercised.

Stilbaai, also known as the Bay of Sleeping Beauty, is a town along the southern coast of South Africa about four hours by car from Cape Town. It is part of the Hessequa Local Municipality in the Western Cape province. Alternate spellings of the town's name include Stillbay, Stilbay, Stillbaai and Stilbaai.

Nestling at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, Swellendam has much to offer visitors who have an interest in history, nature and outdoor activities. Situated on the N2, approximately 240km from both Cape Town and George, Swellendam is the perfect choice for a halfway stopover or as a base from which to explore the area. Swellendam offers a variety of accommodation to suit every taste. There is little wind and temperatures are moderate. There is no shortage of water and gardens are lush and luxuriant. The cost of living is reasonable and the town is clean and efficiently and well run. The people are friendly and there is no political strife with a virtual absence of serious crime.
