San Agustin is the first of the towns located near the Maspalomas dunes. In addition, the town has its own beaches in three places, Maspalomas, Playa del Ingles and San Agustin.

Playa del Ingles is a town in the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria. Playa del Inglés is part of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. It has a nice long beach made of tall sand dunes that come from the Sahara desert, and is connected with other beach towns including San Agustín and Maspalomas in the touristic centre of the island. The population was 17,158 in 2002, and growing. Hotels, restaurants, taverns and villas are aligned with its beach.

Maspalomas is the oldest touristic town in the south coast of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. The people of Maspalomas create a warm, vibrant, friendly atmosphere. Maspalomas is part of the municipality of San Bartolome de Tirajana.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a Spanish city (and municipality) on the island, Gran Canaria, which is one of the Canary Islands located 210 kilometers (~130 miles) off the northwestern coast of the African continent within the Atlantic Ocean.

Puerto de Mogan is a picturesque resort and fishing village in the municipality of Mogan, set at the mouth of a steep-sided valley on the southwest coast of the island of Gran Canaria and attracts many tourists either to stay or on day-visits. Canal-like channels linking the marina to the fishing harbour have led to it being nicknamed "Little Venice" or the "Venice of the Canaries".

Arguineguin, meaning quiet water is one of the most populated towns along the south coast of Gran Canaria and is part of the municipality of Mogan, located southwest of Las Palmas.
