Portobello is a beach resort located three miles (5 km) to the east of the city centre of Edinburgh, along the coast of the Firth of Forth, in Scotland. It is now a suburb of Edinburgh, with a promenade fronting on to the wide sand beach. For many years it was a popular resort with Glaswegians, particularly when the Glasgow Fair trade holiday signalled the start of a 2 week holiday for the west.

Coldingham Bay is an inlet in the North Sea coast, just over three km north of the town of Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders. It is situated at grid reference NT918666 and is easily reached by a minor road which leaves the B6438 road at Coldingham.

The Royal Burgh of North Berwick is a seaside town in East Lothian, Scotland. It is situated on the south shore of the Firth of Forth, approximately 25 miles east of Edinburgh. North Berwick became a fashionable holiday resort in the 19th century because of its two sandy bays, the East (or Milsey) Bay and the West Bay, and continues to attract holiday makers to this day. Golf courses at the ends of each bay are open to visitors.

From there you can walk on Cat Bells, Maiden Moor and the many other beautiful fells, or visit Ashness Bridge, Lodore Falls and the village of Grange.

'Tynemouth' is a town and historic resort in Tyne and Wear, England, situated at the mouth of the River Tyne, between North Shields (on the Tyne) and Whitley Bay (on the coast to the North). It is administered as part of the borough of North Tyneside, but until 1974 was an independent county borough (including North Shields) in its own right.

Cockermouth is a town that lies at the confluence of the River Cocker as it flows into the River Derwent. It is located on the northwest fringe of the English Lake District. Landmarks include the sizeable but partly ruined Norman castle, the home of Pamela, Lady Egremont. Built at the confluence of the Rivers Cocker and Derwent, the castle has a tilting tower which hangs Pisa-like over Jennings Brewery. The castle, with its preserved dungeons, is only opened to the public once a year during the annual town festival.

Royal Quays is an area of North Shields, North Tyneside, England. It is on the site of former docks and contains the pre-existing North Shields International Ferry Terminal.

Bassenthwaite Lake is one of the largest lakes in the Lake District of England. It is long and narrow, approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) long and 3/4 mile wide, but is also extremely shallow, with a maximum depth of about 70 feet (21 m). The lake lies at the foot of Skiddaw, near the town of Keswick.

The Isle of May, situated in the mouth of the Firth of Forth, is only one and a half kilometres long, yet is a haven for thousands of nesting sea birds and breeding seals who flourish on the steep sea cliffs and rocky shores. It has been a National Nature Reserve since 1965.

Sunderland is a city in Tyne and Wear, England. It was formerly a county borough but now forms part of the City of Sunderland. It is situated at the mouth of the River Wear.

Penrith is a market town in the county of Cumbria, England. It is in the Eden Valley, just north of the River Eamont, and lies less than 3 miles (5 km) outside the boundaries of the Lake District National Park.
