Hout Bay is one of the most beautiful and popular places on the Cape Peninsula and a highlight of any visit to Cape Town. The town lies picturesquely in a wind-protected bay, surrounded in the west by the Karbonkel Mountain, the famous Mount Sentinel as the outpost in the sea and in the east, by the Constantia Mountains and Chapman's Peak.

A delightful fishing village on the False Bay coast with a protected little harbour full of brightly painted wooden boats. Go at around 1pm to watch the fishermen offload their catch and you can buy your supper straight from the boat. The narrow main street is renowned for antique and art shops which make fascinating browsing and the well known Brass Bell restaurant and bar is as close as you can get to the breakers without going for a swim. Boyes Drive takes you up onto the hillside for wonderful views of the harbour and in these hills lurk deep caverns and caves with a labyrinth of passages and chambers that are said to be haunted.

Kayamandi - Pleasant Home in Xhoza is a black township where a large number of the citizens are unemployed and the majority is quite poor. However the people of Kayamandi are proud of their traditions, and visitors can be assured of a warm Xhosa welcome.

Kenilworth is a suburb in Cape Town, South Africa. An attraction which draws visitors to Kenilworth is the Kenilworth Racecourse. The oldest race course in the country, it is home to the J&B Met (held in late January each year), an event which draws more than 50,000 spectators.
