Bracklesham Bay is a coastal bay on the west side of the Manhood Peninsula in West Sussex, England. The bay looks out onto the English Channel and the Isle of Wight is visible from the beach, as is the Nab Tower. The bay is sandy and backed with shingle. The beach is popular with windsurfers, divers, surfers and fossil hunters, as the Bracklesham Beds, a well known fossil bed is visible at low tide. The bedrock is London clay, and bits of the clay can be found on the sands.

Southampton is the largest city in the county of Hampshire, on the south coast of England. Southampton is a major port and the closest city to the New Forest. It lies at the northernmost point of Southampton Water where it is joined by the River Test and River Itchen, with the River Hamble joining to the south of the urban area.

Canvey Island is a reclaimed island in the Thames estuary separated from the mainland of south Essex by a network of creeks. Lying below sea level it is prone to flooding at exceptional tides, but has nevertheless been inhabited since the Roman invasion of Britain. Canvey is consequently protected by modern sea defences comprising 15 miles (24 km) of concrete seawall.

Eastbourne is situated at the eastern end of the South Downs alongside the famous Beachy Head cliff. The sheltered position of the main town behind the cliff contributes to Eastbournes title of sunniest place in Great Britain.

Bembridge is located on the easternmost point of the Isle of Wight. Bembridge is home to many of the Island's wealthiest residents. Close to the lifeboat station lies a coastguard outlook. Positioned at a high elevation this offers views of the Solent meeting the English Channel to the east of the Isle of Wight. From this vantage point one is able to view a variety of watercraft year round, although there is more marine traffic in the summer.

Hamble-le-Rice, more commonly known as Hamble, is located in Hampshire on the south coast of England. Hamble-le-Rice is a yachting mecca: the nearby River Hamble is often packed with yachting traffic and during the summer the whole village is crowded with people out enjoying the water. The village and its river are one of the many locations that made up the fictional village of Tarrant in the BBC television series Howards Way, shown weekly on BBC1 in the late 1980s.

Haslemere is a town in Surrey, England, close to the border with both Hampshire and West Sussex. The major road between London and Portsmouth, the A3, lies to the west, and a branch of the River Wey to the south. Haslemere is approximately 12 miles or 19 km south west of Guildford.

Fawley is a village and parish in Hampshire, England. It is situated in the New Forest on the western shore of the Solent, approximately 7 miles (11 kilometres) south of Southampton. Fawley is also the site of an oil refinery, operated by Exxon-Mobil, which is the largest facility of its kind in the United Kingdom. Fawley Power Station is also located less than a mile to the south east of the village.  

Holbury is a village in Hampshire, England. It is part of the parish of Fawley. Historically a small and scarcely populated village, Holbury and the adjoining hamlet of Hardley now has a sizeable population and a considerable number of shops and businesses. This growth has been principally due to the influence of the Esso oil refinery at Fawley and the area's proximity to the city of Southampton.
