Ballyholme is a part of Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. It is a seaside area on Ballyholme bay, the lesser known, though larger of Bangor's two bays.

Bangor probably takes its name from its curving bay set between a pair of symmetrical headlands (beanna chor - curved peaks) and its sheltered position made it ideal for exploitation as a holiday resort.

The tallest are about 40 feet high, and the solidified lava in the cliffs is 90 feet thick in places.
