Serra do Santo Info, Norte

An old world little town of white houses and flower bedecked streets perched high above the north bank of Tagus, Abrantes occupies an exposed situation whiuch made it a keypoint in the defense of the old Beira provinces. Unitl now the town has been able to retain its originalcharachter in spite of some ugly new buildings. A local speciality is "Palha de Abrantes", a sweet egg floss.

Aveiro is a city of some 73.559 people and a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 199.9 km² and a total population of 73,559 inhabitants, and 59,860 electors (2006). It is the second most populous city in the Centro region of Portugal after Coimbra.

Porto, also OPorto in English, is Portugal's second city and capital of the Norte NUTS II region. The city is located in the estuary of the Douro river in northern Portugal. The largest city in the region, Porto is considered the economic and cultural heart of the entire region.
