They recently starting converting whey into energy and established partnerships with young farmers, and are also involved in rescuing the Canadienne breed of cow. la Laiterie Charlevoix is also an EconoMuseum, a rest stop and interpretation centre, and have a boutique with regional products. The cheese EconoMuseum presents the history of cheesemaking with ancient equipment and explanatory panels, and they offer guided tours for groups and the exhibit is free, they have the most important collection of dairy farming artefacts in the province of Quebec, dating back to 1890.
