It is place of unspoiled natural beauty with lifestyle so often imagined, but so rarely attained. Tourists find numerous reasons to visit this ancient Mediterranean town. The old town was completed in the 13th century and remains virtually unchanged to the present day. Tall ramparts surround it and there are only two entrances to the old town which lead to the Stradun, the city's promenade. In 1991/2, the Serbs shelled the city causing considerable damage, but thanks to local effort and international aid, the old town has been restored to its former beauty.

Makarska is a small town on the Adriatic coastline of Croatia, about 60 km southeast of Split and 140 km northwest of Dubrovnik. Administratively Makarska has the status of a town and it is part of the Split-Dalmatia county.

Korcula, is an island in the Adriatic Sea, in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county of Croatia. The island has an area of 279 km2 - it is 46.8 km long and on average 7.8 km wide - and lies just off the Dalmatian coast.

Jelsa is a municipality in on the island of Hvar, Croatia. It is located in the Split-Dalmatia county. It has a population of 3,656 (2001 census), 96% which are Croats. Jelsa is surrounded by pine forests and hills in which hotels and resorts are evenly placed.
