The holiday resort of Fuschl am See is located between the festival city of Salzburg (20km) and the spa resort of Bad Ischl (30km) in the beautiful Salzkammergut. It can easily be reached by car and public transport services.

What it is, is an easy going, fun, ski resort. One where there does not seem to be a great distinction between visitors who are older and more financially stable, and the tremendous young crowd that Kirchberg attracts, who, more often than not, are watching their budgets very closely.

Salzburg is the fourth-largest city in Austria and the capital of the federal state of Salzburg. Salzburg's "Old Town" with its world famous baroque architecture is one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps, and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Zell am See is the capital of the Zell am See district in the Austrian state of Salzburg. It is the second largest city in the Pinzgau with about 10,000 inhabitants. Zell am See is a tourist destination and a transportation hub for the region.  

Grundlsee is a municipality in the Liezen district, which counted 1294 inhabitants during the last census (2001). It is located on Lake Grundlsee.

St. Wolfgang is a market town in the Salzkammergut region of Upper Austria, named after Saint Wolfgang of Regensburg. Situated on the northern shore of the Wolfgangsee at the foot of the Schafberg mountain, it is famous for the White Horse Inn, the setting of the musical comedy and for its pilgrimage church with a late Gothic altarpiece by Michael Pacher.

Lake Toplitz (German: Toplitzsee) is a lake situated in a dense mountain forest high up in the Austrian Alps, 98 km (60 miles) from Salzburg in western Austria. It is surrounded by cliffs and forests in the picturesque Salzkammergut lake district within the Totes Gebirge, or dead mountains. After a depth of 20m, the Toplitzsee water contains no oxygen. Fish can survive only in the top 18m, as the water below 20m is salty. Bacteria and worms have been found that can live without oxygen.

Linz is the third largest city of Austria and capital of the state of Upper Austria. It is located in the north centre of Austria, approximately 30 km south of the Czech border, on both sides of the river Danube.

Aschach an der Donau is a municipality in the district Eferding in Upper Austria, Austria.

Mondsee is an Austrian town in the Vocklabruck district in Upper Austria located on the shore of the lake Mondsee. The length from north to south is 9.5 km, and width from east to west is 7.7 km. There is features a church used for the site of the wedding in The Sound of Music.

Strobl am Wolfgangsee is a village in the northeastern portion of the Austrian state of Salzburg, right on the border of Upper Austria. It lies on the eastern side of lake Wolfgangsee in the Salzkammergut resort region

St. Gilgen is a picturesque village by the Wolfgangsee in the Austrian state of Salzburg, in the "Salzkammergut" region. It has 3,753 inhabitants, lies at 545 metres above sea level and covers an area of 98.67 square kilometres. The parish church is dedicated to Saint Aegidius (Latin), in English Saint Giles, which is reflected in the name of the town, Sankt Gilgen.

Mattsee is a market town at the eponymous lake in the district of Salzburg-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Salzburg.

Seeham is a municipality in the district of Salzburg-Umgebung in the state of Salzburg in Austria.

Hallstatt, Upper Austria is a village in the Salzkammergut, a region in Austria. It is located near the Hallstätter See (a lake). At the 2001 census it had 946 inhabitants. Peter Scheutz has been mayor of Hallstatt since 1993.

Gosau is a municipality in the district of Gmunden in Upper Austria, Austria.

Chiemsee is a freshwater lake in Bavaria, Germany, between Rosenheim, Germany, and Salzburg, Austria. It is often called the Bavarian Sea. The rivers Tiroler Achen and Prien flow into the lake; the river Alz, out of it. The Chiemsee is divided into the bigger, north section, in the northeast, called Weitsee, and the Inselsee, in the southwest.

Prien am Chiemsee is a municipality in the district of Rosenheim, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the western shore of the Chiemsee lake, 16 km (9.3 mi) east of Rosenheim.

Ebensee is located in Upper Austria, Austria, at the south end of Lake Traun (Traunsee) and has a population of about 8500. Linz lies approximately 90 km to the north. The nearest towns are Gmunden and Bad Ischl.

Berchtesgaden is a municipality in the German Bavarian Alps. It is located in the south district of Berchtesgadener Land in Bavaria, near the border with Austria, some 30 km south of Salzburg and 180 km southeast of Munich. It is situated north of the Nationalpark Berchtesgaden.
