Auberge Walker Inn in Pictou, Nova Scotia, was built originally in the 1870?s by James A. Stalker to house a general store on the ground floor, with living space on the subsequent three floors for both the family and the servants. At that time he also had a bank and a crockery kiln. Two years later, he built the Scotia Bank beside the Inn. Since then, the building has housed the town library, an MLA office, an insurance office, and apartments.
Auberge Walker Inn is a pleasant, peaceful place in Pictou, Nova Scotia, Uniquely decorated and great walking distance to the water. All rooms are non-smoking but smoking is permitted on the deck outside.
Hannah, a border collie-Great Pyrenees cross lives on the premises. She is friendly to everyone, but please, no guest pets.
Access to our luxury suite is via your own front door from the street. A small lobby with original sandstone walls and huge skylights greets you and leads you into a sitting room boasting birch floors, 12 ft. high ceilings, huge windows, kitchenette, and also direct entry to the foyer of the Inn itself.
The kitchenette is comprised of microwave, coffee-maker, fridge, two elements and fully equipped with cutlery, chinaware, and pots and pans.
All rooms have 3-piece ensuite bathrooms, cable television, and telephone. Our wi-fi network is accessible in most rooms.
