Traditional hospitality, personal service and individual touches ensure that a stay at Brantfell House is a relaxed, comfortable and rewarding experience for your visit to Ambleside in the Lake District of the United Kingdom. Ideally situated only 500 metres from the centre of Ambleside, Brantfell House makes the perfect base to explore this unique part of England. Personally run by its owners Chris and Jane Amos, Brantfell House has become a sought after establishment for guest accommodation.
Whether rambling, climbing, driving or just relaxing, you are spoilt for choice. The list of visitor attractions is endless and are either within walking distance of Brantfell House, or, for the less athletic, a short journey away by car or public transport.
Built around 1860, Brantfell House is a typical Lakeland property that has been carefully restored by its owners. Each room has its own en-suite facility, is decorated to a high standard and, of course, has lots of the "mod cons" expected by today's discerning visitor.
The majority of the rooms have wonderful views, and for that special occasion there is a "four poster" bedroom, where you can wake up each morning and look towards Fairfield and Loughrigg fells.
Breakfast at Brantfell House is given top priority. As well as the traditional English breakfast fare, a large vegetarian menu is offered, as well as omelets, kippers, smoked haddock, and smoked salmon, as stated on the breakfast menu.
If you have any special dietary requirements we can cater for your needs if you advise us prior to your arrival. "All food is cooked to order, have what you like, as much as you like, and in any combination you like"
