Dairy Cottage in Poughill, nr Bude, is a delightful 'upside down' cottage loved by children. Originally part of the Trevalgas Farm Dairy parlour, it has been converted to a charming modern cottage. (The flower beds in the pretty courtyard, however, reveal its origins, as they are the original cattle drinking troughs!). This unusual holiday cottage has two bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and shower over, on the ground floor, while the large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room are on the upper floor, giving views over the area. Dairy Cottage is an ideal self-catering cottage for a family of up to four plus a baby or toddler. It has a large double bedroom, with bunk beds in the second bedroom. We can also provide a cot, and high chair if required.
The cottage ideal for self-catering, the modern fully fitted kitchen has hob, oven, microwave, and fridge/freezer. Dairy Cottage has been inspected by the English Tourist board, and awarded a '4 star' standard. It is furnished to a high standard in country pine, and provides a perfect setting for a peaceful holiday.
Deceptively spacious, Dairy Cottage is well equipped for self-catering holidays close to beautiful safe and clean beaches as well as breathtaking countryside. On the small peaceful site there is a play area for younger children, and full use of the indoor heated swimming pool. Older children will enjoy the games room, with table tennis and a pool table. There is also a well equipped Laundry room on site with several washing machines and tumble dryers.
With allocated parking next to the cottage, and with patio table and benches, there's a barbeque to enjoy lazy summer evenings after a day at the beach, surrounded by the well stocked colourful tubs and flower beds in the pretty courtyard.
Located on the edge of the picturesque village of Poughill, amidst rolling hills, Dairy Cottage provides the perfect holiday setting, being only 1½ miles from Bude and it's sandy beaches. We do accept well behaved dogs by arrangement, and can offer short breaks for out of season weeks.
