Fernwood Motel - Fernwood has twelve rustic Motel rooms, a Restaurant, tavern, general Store, espresso bar, video & Dvd rentals. Fernwood is located next to Highway One. Convenient Parking off of Highway One for your trips to the Redwood Grill Restaurant, general Store,tavern and Sofanya's Art Gallery.
Fernwood Campground Tent Cabins - When you arrive at the Fernwood Campground, located just off of Highway One, below Fernwood Motel, you will be greated at the "Historic School House" which is now serving as our office. This is also where you will check in for your tent Cabins and RV camping. Campsites and RV sites are along the Big Sur River. Be sure to visit the rare Albino Redwood tree when you're here. It's next to the "Historic School House."
Big Sur Camping at Fernwood Campground - Tent Camping, Tent Cabins and RV Camping. Two bath houses with hot showers for your convenience.
Redwood Grill catering for all occations shares the porch with Coast Ridge Outfitters which is stocked with camping supplies, guitar strings, t-shirts and more located in Fernwood Resorts grounds.
Big Sur Music & Events Calendar - Fernwood Resort, Big Sur offers weekends and normally Saturday evening Live Entertainment.
Fernwood General Store and Espresso Cafe offers a convenience Store which is stocked with cold drinks, fresh hot coffee and espresso, camping supplies, and a little bit of just about anything you could think of including TV/VCR, DVD and video rentals and friendly staff to take care of you. Come on in if you're looking for a little snack or an ice cold beer. We can fix you up!
Hiking trails available from Fernwood Campground - Fernwood borders Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. You can easily hike from Fernwood into the Park and enjoy these famous local trails:
Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park - Pfeiffer Falls round trip; Valley View round trip; Oak Grove Trail, Buzzard's Roost and Mount Manuel Trails.
Andrew Molera State Park is located a few miles north of Fernwood but has some fantastic Hiking and Beachcombing. A short drive or a bicycle ride through the Big Sur Valley would be appropriate.
Andrew Molera State Park - Creamery Meadow to Molera Beach; Molera 8-mile loop and Ventana Wilderness Society for bird watching.
Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park is a few miles south of Fernwood but worth the drive to see the beautiful McWay Waterfall and to enjoy the Ewoldsen trail.
