This large Victorian Guest House is set in its own grounds with a large garden.

Built in 1882 by a local merchant as a private house, this Guest House still has almost all its original features. There are no en-suite rooms as we feel this would spoil the character of the house. It is set in the elegant Georgian town of Whitehaven, with links from the past to Rum, Sugar and the slave trade.

Whitehaven is also the start of the coast to coast cycle run. You are very welcome to stay here before the famous cycle challenge so you will be refreshed and ready for the journey ahead. It is also a great base for people wishing to explore the quieter Western Lakes, ideal for cycling and walking and discovering the natural beauty of the surrounding areas.
