Hackescher Hof,was built in 1900 and with its 8 courtyards was one of the biggest construction sites in Europe at the time. Hackescher Hof was reopened in 1996 after restoration which was done within keeping of its historic background. The original ceiling and windows in the dining room are from the former wine restaurant of the Wilhelm Neumann Co.
