Welcome to The Jägerhof, St. Gallen, Switzerland where we like to cook what we like to eat and without a guilty conscience. Whenever meat is served to your table, you can be sure that it is from animals that have really been kept in a manner that is natural. Vegetables likewise come fresh from regional organic 'Knospe' growers and even our fish is, with a few exceptions, from home waters. We refrain from using deep-frozen products and put our trust completely in seasonal availability.
You will find our dishes light. We use little cream and butter, but on the other hand a wide range of first-class and highly nutritious olive oils. The skill of our cuisine consists in creating fantastic dishes from 'simple' ingredients, whether for a simple set lunch course or a substantial gourmet menu.
If you leave The Jägerhof, St. Gallen, with the feeling that you still have a bit more room for more, then you are paying us a compliment.
Delicious vintages by the glass. Our guest is able to make his choice from a substantial and extensive range. Our particular interest is in the bar serving open wine from some 210 different bottles that count for us as amongst the most outstanding. For us 'open wine' is the best wine we serve!
We at The Jägerhof, like to work in close cooperation with small wine growers, who enjoy our confidence and that puts our trading on a very individual basis. We therefore have a close relationship with most of the wine growers and set great store in carrying all the provenances from each of the houses.
At the same time we carry wines from those big concerns that in our opinion always maintain top quality.
