Las Cazuelas Restaurant - As you arrive at Las Cazuelas, you have to decide whether to pick a cloth-covered table outside on the sidewalk or choose an inside seat best located to watch the soap opera on the TV. What can I say? This eatery offers good, cheap, clean, fast, and abundant eats. There are many different types of tacos to choose from but the specialty is Pozole. Pozole is one of the treats of Mexico that not everybody is familiar with. It is a soup like concoction that has hominy style corn, pork or pollo, plenty of broth, and a bay leaf. It comes with raw onions, raw jalapenos, ground chile powder, ground oregano and whole toasted tortillas on the side and will cure the common cold in about five minutes.
Pozole is truly one of the wonders of the world that Las Cazuelas knows how to do and do it cheap. You will not find cocktails here but beer and sodas are cold and refreshing enough to do the job of quenching your thirst. My favorite is agua mineral con limon (mineral water with limes). There is no way to go wrong at this Restaurant and I would guess that anybody on a smaller budget would find himself or herself eating at this establishment often.
