Wayne and Cheryl Dodd invite you to enjoy the finest seafood Texas has to offer at the nostalgic Outrigger Restaurant lovingly restored in a circa 1906 lumber yard building - just one block from East Tres Palacios Bay at Commerce and Sixth Streets across from the Railroad Park and the Palacios City Park.
Shrimp, oysters and flounder are brought in from local fishermen to the Restaurant. We get our red fish from local Lone Star Aquafarms. Texas Aquaculture Coop provide the catfish. We hand bread every shrimp and cook to perfection in peanut oil. Most seafood can be grilled or blackened. All our pie and cheesecakes are made here at the Outrigger Restaurant by Marion Schafer. The Oysters from Matagorda Bay are best in February, March, and April. We bring Oysters in from Louisiana when they are not available from Matagorda Bay. Flounder and Red Fish are available at the Outrigger Restaurant, Palacios, all the time from local suppliers.
