Pfänder Eagle Vantage Point near Bregenz in Vorarlberg, Austria, is open from the 1st of May to the 4th of October.
The Park hosts flight presentations daily at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
You find the very nicely laid out eagle vantage point in the game Park path, 10 minutes by foot from the Pfänder cable car mountain station or the Restaurant Berghaus Pfänder outside Bregenz, Vorarlberg.
The goal of the eagle vantage point is to give an understanding of the birds of prey to the visitors and to provide information about these miraculous animals. The birds which are shown were not taken from the free hunting-ground, but come completely from breeding.
In a 35-minute presentation at the Pfänder Eagle Vantage Point near Bregenz, you can experience the birds of prey in flight along the Pfänder slopes. After breathtaking flights the birds return to the falconer who stands straight in front of you. Behaviour and way of life of these endangered animals are explained in detail.
The bird of prey-flight viewing takes place every day except in foggy weather. Dogs can be brought to the eagle vantage point. There are special seats for visitors with dogs. The dog must be on a leash.
Attention! If you leave your schnitzel unattended on the terrace of the Restaurant Berghaus Pfänder, Felix, the red Kite, could swoop down and take it from your plate!
The paths of the Pfänder are not the property of the Pfänder cable car. The Pfänder cable car AG is not the road owner. This is a mountain area, so we recommend using firm footwear suited for the area.
