RiverTowne Players in New Bern, North Carolina, USA is a non profit organisation where local actors, musicians, and artists showcase their talents by providing quality Theatre to the residents and community of Eastern North Carolina. Housed in a historic Masonic Theatre which dates back to 1805, it once served as the town's foremost place for dramatic entertainment, and during the civil war was used as a Confederate arsenal as well as a hospital for Union soldiers, so a long and interesting history going back. RiverTowne Players is beautifully restored, and today presents excellent shows and productions in the oldest working Theatre in the country.
