Welcome to the Southend Museums, Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom. The Southend Museums and Planetarium, Southchurch Hall, Prittlewell Priory and the Beecroft Art Gallery. These house diverse collections covering local social and human history, and as well as a fine collection of works of art. Entry to all the Museum branches is free, although there is a small charge for visiting the Southend Planetarium, situated within the Central Museum. The Service comprises four buildings, the Central Museum organises many events and exhibitions, as well as exciting schools activities, family events and life long learning opportunities.  Southchurch Hall is an early 14th century moated house set in delightful gardens very much one of Southend's hidden treasures. The building is dominated by its impressive Great Hall, displayed as a late medieval room setting. It is a room in which ceremonies at Southchurch Hall are conducted.  A visit to the Southend Museums, Southend-on-Sea is a must.
