Tokeland Hotel, Tokeland, Washington, United States
The historic Hotel and lobby at Tokeland Hotel located in Tokeland, Washington, has been tastefully decorated with many of the original furnishings and includes an antique, working English organ. Across the lobby is our dining area where all three meals are served.
This cozy room just off the lobby is the perfect place to curl up on the sofa to enjoy the fire, read a favorite book, or just relax. Board games, cards and jigsaw puzzles are available, too. Set off with the original brick fireplace, the room is designed for small gatherings of friends and quiet, personal interludes. A bit of Tokeland lore: Early in the history of the Hotel, Chinese immigrants brought in to work the railroads were smuggled through nearby Raymond and the favorite hiding spot was a large space behind the fireplace. (Ask your Innkeeper about Charley!)
All guest rooms are on the second floor of the Hotel and are furnished in a turn-of-the-century fashion. Please observe: Smoking is not allowed in the rooms or in the hallways of the second floor. Bathrooms are within steps of each room and contain all the modern conveniences. Most rooms sleep two people, but we also have two larger rooms with queen-size beds. We also have connecting rooms for families.
Enjoy the panoramic view of Willapa Bay as you enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dInner in our casual yet quaint Tokeland dining room. Join us for home cooked meals: blueberry pancakes, crab and cheddar grilled on sourdough, and on Sunday, our famous cranberry pot roast. All-desserts are homemade, so save room for blackberry cobbler or specialty pies and cInnamon rolls.
Resting on a rolling meadow that fronts the bay, the grounds are always open for a stroll, a softball game or casual sunning. Ask the Innkeeper for advice on kite flying, horseshoes, volleyball, croquet and badminton. The Hotel is just 15 minutes from Westport, charter Fishing capital of the Pacific Northwest. We gladly assist in planning a Fishing adventure. In the nearby historic town of Raymond, a popular and a top rated nine-hole GOLF course is open for guest play. Seven miles away in Grayland are fine kite flying beaches, rental bicycles for touring the cranberry bogs, and beach combing. Plan extra time to browse through the quaint town shops. Clam digging is as close as our front door. Both butter clams and the elusive razor clam (in season) are guest favorite. We know the local regulations and can advise on your dig . Or, join the locals who go crabbing just off the pier at nearby Toke Point. We want you to enjoy both the Hotel and our neighborhood.
