The Society was formed in May 1986 in order to protect and save as much of the Caves and their unique drawings as possible.
The Society holds a public meeting each year in March and a Barbecue on the Shore each summer. There are seven Open Sundays from April to September each year inclusive from 2-4.30pm in the Basement suite of East Wemyss Primary School in the Wemyss Environmental Education Centre, when there are guided tours to the Caves, and slide shows on some special Fife feature. There are light refreshments and a bookstall. Extra openings by request.
Private outings, visits and illustrated slide lectures can be arranged by contacting either the Chairman Mr Bill Barker 01592 714874 or the Secretary Mrs Ann Watters 01592 266361.
