El Campello is a delightful holiday resort situated in a perfect position on the Costa Blanca coast of Alicante. This is a town that has resisted the lure of mass tourism and with its unpretentious air, this resort is perfect for both couples and families alike.

El Campello has a proud history giving the town a unique feel. Around the port area archaeological remains of circular cabins dating back to 3000BC have been found and the little fishing harbour with its adjoining mariner are overlooked by a 16th century watchtower that acted as a warning against raids from Berber Pirates.
In the present day tourism is the town's main draw and no wonder! Dominating the resort is the blue, sun-kissed Mediterranean backed by a broad, pearl white beach stretching for miles. But the real difference is that the town planners have carefully considered the impact tourism could have and made sure that the individuality of El Campello is maintained.
There are excellent beach facilities, as you would expect and a large number of good quality restaurants and café bars that spill out on the modern promenade that sweeps around the coast. However in El Campello you will also find families still living in tiny seafront houses painted in bright colours, that once were homes to fishermen. There are few high-rise buildings, the town preferring to offer smaller, friendlier but no less equipped establishments as tourist accommodation. This makes it a more relaxing environment in which to take a holiday.
